How to do a cervical cancer biopsy

The operation method of cervical cancer biopsy includes: disinfection of vulva, exposure of cervix, disinfection of vagina and cervix, fixation of cervix, sampling with biopsy forceps, disinfection after sampling, etc. The details are as follows:

1. Disinfection of the vulva: Use iodine tincture to disinfect the perineum to make the area sterile.

2. Expose the cervix: Use an endoscope to dilate the vagina and fully expose the cervix.

3. Disinfection of the vagina and cervix: Use iodine tincture or Sanisol cotton balls to disinfect the vagina, cervix and other parts to avoid retrograde infection.

4. Fix the cervix: Use a cervical clamp to clamp the cervix and keep it in a fixed state to facilitate sampling.

5. Biopsy forceps sampling: Use biopsy forceps to clamp the local tissue of the lesion and make a specimen. If the lesion site is not very obvious, biopsy forceps can be used to obtain samples under colposcopy, or samples can be obtained at different locations such as 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and 12 o'clock on the cervix.

6. Disinfection after sampling: The cervix needs to be disinfected again after sampling. If local bleeding is obvious, gauze can be used to compress and stop the bleeding.
