Which three places are itchy in stomach cancer

Gastric cancer patients may experience itching in three places, which is usually related to the progression of gastric cancer, the biological characteristics of tumor cells and side effects during treatment, including itching in the throat, itching in some skin, itching in the limbs, etc.

1. Itching in the throat: Patients with gastric cancer who develop the disease due to Helicobacter pylori infection may experience discomfort in the throat. As the disease progresses, gastric acid may reflux into the esophagus, repeatedly irritating the throat and causing itching in the throat. Patients with advanced gastric cancer may experience gastric acid reflux due to tumor stimulation or impaired gastric function, which further irritates the throat and causes itching.

2. Partial skin itching: Gastric cancer tumor cells may secrete active substances such as histamine, which stimulate the sensory nerve endings of the skin, causing symptoms such as partial skin itching and rashes. During chemotherapy, chemotherapy drugs may cause skin inflammation and itching in some gastric cancer patients. Gastric cancer patients may suffer from nutritional deficiencies due to loss of appetite, indigestion, etc., especially deficiencies in B vitamins and vitamin C, which may also cause skin itching.

3. Itching of the limbs: Gastric cancer tumors may compress the bile duct, affect bile excretion, cause bilirubin accumulation in the blood, and induce cholestatic jaundice. Jaundice patients often experience yellowing and itching of the skin and mucous membranes, including the limbs. Advanced gastric cancer patients may suffer from poor blood circulation due to tumor compression or metastasis, resulting in local hypoxia and insufficient nutrient supply in the body, which may also cause itching of the limbs.

During treatment, gastric cancer patients should pay close attention to changes in their symptoms and report any discomfort or abnormalities to their doctors in a timely manner. Maintaining good living and eating habits will help improve physical condition and treatment effectiveness. Regular review and follow-up should be conducted to keep abreast of changes in the condition and adjust the treatment plan.
