What diseases can mice transmit

I believe most people have seen rats. Rats are an animal that people hate. The reason why rats are annoying is that they often sneak into people's houses and food. I believe everyone knows that rat meat cannot be eaten because it is poisonous. Moreover, some rats can carry some infectious diseases, such as plague, which is the plague carried by rats. So what diseases can rats infect people with?

There are many diseases that rats can spread, including typhus, hemorrhagic fever, and plague. In addition, rat bites may also spread rabies. If you need to come into contact with rats frequently, you must take precautions to avoid direct contact with rats, and pay attention to checking your body temperature. If you have a fever or other discomfort, seek medical attention in time.

Rats can spread more than 35 diseases. According to the different pathogens, they can be divided into the following categories:

1. Bacterial infectious diseases: including plague, cholera, epidemic typhus, leptospirosis, rat-bite fever, relapsing fever, typhoid, paratyphoid, salmonellosis, etc.

2. Viral infectious diseases: including hemorrhagic fever, forest encephalitis, rabies, etc.

3. Others include: filariasis, trichinosis, scrub typhus, etc.

Rats often appear in sewers, toilets, kitchens, junk piles, garbage dumps, etc., moving back and forth between contaminated places and clean places, spreading pathogens through their feet, body hair and stomach contents.

Research has shown that there are three ways that rats spread diseases:

1. Parasites on the outside of mice act as vectors, and transmit pathogens to humans by biting humans and sucking blood;

2. Rats carrying pathogenic microorganisms in their bodies contaminate food or water sources through their activities or feces, causing illness in humans after eating;

3. Infection is caused by rats biting people directly or pathogens invading through external injuries.
