Is central lung cancer in the right lung serious?

Central lung cancer in the right lung is usually more serious.

Central right lung cancer refers to a malignant lung tumor that originates from the bronchial mucosal epithelium or glands above the right lung and lung segments and is located near the hilum of the lung. The exact cause of central right lung cancer is still unclear. Smoking is the most important high-risk factor. Other risk factors include air pollution, ionizing radiation, occupational hazards, genetic factors, chronic lung diseases, etc. Patients may not have obvious symptoms in the early stages. As the disease progresses, symptoms such as cough, blood in sputum or hemoptysis, asthma, and chest tightness may occur. Local spread of the tumor can also cause clinical symptoms such as chest pain, dyspnea, dysphagia, and hoarseness. When the tumor metastasizes to a distant site, it can also manifest as clinical manifestations of the corresponding metastatic site, which is more serious and requires timely treatment. The treatment of central right lung cancer is usually surgical resection of the lesion. Attention should be paid to postoperative repair after surgery. If the cancer cells spread again, chemotherapy or local radiotherapy must be used.

Patients are advised to engage in appropriate outdoor exercise after treatment to enhance immunity and ensure adequate protein intake. At the same time, they should pay attention to eating more vegetables and fruits to maintain a balance of vitamins and promote timely recovery of patients.
