What stage of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is considered early stage and what is the best treatment effect

What are the early stages of nasopharyngeal cancer? How can it be treated effectively?

The staging of cancer mainly depends on the pathological stage, namely lymph node metastasis, metastatic distance, specific site and symptoms.

There are several ways to detect early nasopharyngeal cancer:

Nasopharyngeal endoscopy: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma often occurs near the top of the nasopharynx and the pharyngeal recess. The lesions are uneven, with nodular hyperplasia and surface ulceration. Biopsy: Histopathological examination is the main basis for determining nasopharyngeal carcinoma. If nasopharyngeal biopsy is not confirmed, cervical lymph node puncture biopsy can be performed for patients with cervical lymph node enlargement. X-ray examination: Lateral nasopharyngeal and skull base X-rays help to understand the extent of the tumor and whether the skull base is invaded.

Early stage I nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients, except for a few occasional morning contraction of runny nose or tinnitus, are basically asymptomatic, but hospital stage I patients often have the above ear and nose symptoms or headaches. There are many initial symptoms that promote patient treatment, such as cervical lymph node lumps, ear and nose symptoms runny nose, otitis media symptoms, headaches, cranial nerve damage such as reexamination, distant metastasis, dermatomyositis, etc.

The first stage of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is the early stage. If relevant symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are found, timely examination and treatment should be carried out. Most nasopharyngeal carcinomas are moderately sensitive to radiotherapy, and radiotherapy is the first choice for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. However, surgical resection and chemotherapy are also indispensable means for well-differentiated cancer, late course of disease, and recurrence after radiotherapy.
