How long does it take for gastric cancer to go from early stage to middle stage

How long does it take for gastric cancer to go from early stage to middle stage?

It is usually difficult to generalize how long it takes for gastric cancer to develop to the middle stage. There are many influencing factors. After all, the pathological nature is different and the time of appearance is also different. Some patients usually take one to two years to deteriorate, while some patients may take one to two months, or even one to two weeks, to deteriorate to the middle stage of cancer. It also depends on the nature of the cancer, including papillary adenocarcinoma and tubular adenocarcinoma, as well as poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma and ring cell carcinoma.

Generally speaking, poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenocarcinoma, signet ring cell carcinoma, etc. These categories are usually highly malignant cancers, the disease deteriorates quickly, and the treatment effect is also very poor. However, if it is papillary adenocarcinoma or tubular adenocarcinoma, which is in the well-differentiated or moderately differentiated stage, its development will be much slower than that of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, and the treatment effect will be much better. The development time should be further determined according to the pathological classification, and regular gastroscopy should be performed to clarify the nature of gastric cancer.

Generally speaking, gastric cancer has no adverse symptoms in the early stages and is often difficult to detect. Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor that easily spreads through the blood, lymph nodes, and implants, and the adverse symptoms it causes are usually atypical.

As the disease progresses, gastric cancer may present some non-specific adverse symptoms similar to those of gastritis or gastric ulcer, usually including upper abdominal fullness and discomfort, upper abdominal pain, heartburn, belching and nausea, and occasional vomiting, loss of appetite and black stools.
