Is the survival rate of stage 4 nasopharyngeal carcinoma high? What are the treatments?

Cancer is generally divided into several stages. The higher the stage number, the closer the pace of death is. So, if nasopharyngeal cancer has reached four stages, does it have a high survival rate? Is there any treatment?

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is a common malignant tumor, especially in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hunan in southern China. The incidence rate is high in middle-aged and middle-aged men. Many causes have been studied, but they have not yet been fully determined. They may be genetic, Epstein-Barr virus infection, environmental chemical carcinogenic factors, etc.

IV The primary lesions of nasopharyngeal carcinoma invade the nasal cavity, oropharynx or adjacent muscles and nerves below the skull base. The primary cancer invades the bones, paranasal sinuses or cranial nerves or the hypopharyngeal cavity, orbit or infratemporal fossa. Distant metastasis or below the clavicle, skin or lymph nodes are involved. If nasopharyngeal carcinoma develops to the fourth stage, it is in the middle and late stages, and the difficulty of treatment increases. Middle and late stage nasopharyngeal carcinoma should be treated with comprehensive treatment methods such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, biological therapy, and immunotherapy.

The age of onset of nasopharyngeal cancer is younger than other cancers, mostly between 30 and 50 years old, and there are more males than females, with a male-to-female ratio of 3:1. The 5-year survival rate of patients in the advanced stage is only 8% to 10%, which is a very low number.

Although it is low, if you don't give up, you will always see the rainbow. However, during the treatment, you need to pay close attention to the patient's diet. During this period, you should eat more anti-cancer foods such as mushrooms, black fungus, garlic, seaweed, mustard, royal jelly, and vitamin supplements.
