The success rate of targeted therapy for gastric cancer

The success rate of targeted therapy for gastric cancer

If gastric cancer is in the early stages, the tumor is limited to the stomach, there is no lymph node metastasis or cancer cell infiltration and growth, the survival of patients treated with targeted therapy can reach three to five years. If the postoperative pathological prompt is confirmed to be positive, Herceptin can be considered. Herceptin is a commonly used targeted drug for breast cancer and is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Targeted therapy treats the carcinogenic site at the cellular and molecular level based on the patient's immunohistochemistry results.

Can gastritis cause stomach cancer?

In patients with gastritis, due to damage to the gastric mucosa, the gastric mucosa will produce edema, congestion and even erosion under the stimulation of long-term inflammation. If the patient does not pay attention to diet and does not receive effective treatment, it may lead to ulcers. The incidence of gastric cancer in patients with gastritis is relatively high, which is generally caused by Helicobacter pylori infection or long-term food stimulation of the gastric mucosa. Generally speaking, gastritis itself does not directly lead to gastric cancer, but among different types of gastritis, some may lead to gastric cancer.

How to detect early symptoms of gastric cancer?

The early clinical symptoms of gastric cancer are often not very obvious. Patients may have pain and discomfort in the upper and middle abdomen, a feeling of retention and friction after eating, and even mild pain behind the sternum, but these are not typical symptoms. The early detection of gastric cancer is similar to that of esophageal cancer. Common symptoms of gastric cancer are common symptoms of gastric cancer, such as abdominal discomfort, burning sensation, bloating, digestive tract discomfort or dull pain. The main treatment for early gastric cancer is surgery, which can be performed by major gastrectomy or endoscopic submucosal dissection.
