How to treat edema caused by liver cancer?

How to treat edema caused by liver cancer?

Edema in patients with liver cancer is likely due to hypoproteinemia. This can be checked by testing liver function. If it is, human albumin can be transfused and appropriate diuretics can be used, and the primary disease can be actively treated. If the albumin level is too low and it causes edema in both lower limbs, in this case, consider transfusing albumin while appropriately adding furosemide and spironolactone diuretics to avoid excessively strong diuresis. Edema in patients with liver cancer is often related to factors such as decreased liver function, malnutrition, and tumors.

Is right shoulder pain a symptom of liver cancer?

Many diseases can cause right shoulder pain, such as cholecystitis, gallstones, frozen shoulder, local trauma around the shoulder, skin, soft tissue, bone, nerve diseases, etc., and further examinations should be conducted in combination with medical history and physical signs to make a clear diagnosis. Patients with advanced liver cancer may also experience right shoulder pain due to liver enlargement, compression of muscles and nerves below the lungs, and radiating pain in the right shoulder. Right shoulder pain is not necessarily liver cancer, but may also be a muscle strain.

Usually, if there is no active treatment or the treatment is ineffective, the patient can only survive for three to six months.
