Early symptoms of lung cancer

The early symptoms of lung cancer are usually mild and can be easily ignored. Knowing the early symptoms of lung cancer is very important for timely detection and treatment of lung cancer.

1. Cough: The most common symptom of early lung cancer is cough, which is usually an irritating dry cough with little or no sputum. The cough may last for weeks or months and worsen as the disease progresses. If the cough persists or worsens, it should be taken seriously.

2. Blood in sputum and hemoptysis: In the early stages of lung cancer, blood in sputum or hemoptysis may occur. The amount of bleeding may be small or it may be severe hemoptysis. If blood in sputum or hemoptysis persists, seek medical attention immediately.

3. Chest pain: Lung cancer may cause chest pain in the early stages, usually manifesting as irregular dull pain or pain. Chest pain may last for weeks or months and worsen as the disease progresses. If you experience persistent chest pain, you should seek medical attention immediately.

4. Dyspnea: In the early stages of lung cancer, you may experience dyspnea, a feeling of lack of air or difficulty breathing. Dyspnea may worsen with breathing movements, but some patients may not have obvious dyspnea symptoms.

5. Low fever: Lung cancer may present with low fever symptoms in the early stage, with body temperature below 38°C. Symptoms can be temporarily relieved after taking antipyretics, but will recur later.

6. Other symptoms: In the early stages of lung cancer, there may be other symptoms, such as loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue, etc. These symptoms may be related to the growth and spread of the tumor.

The above symptoms are not unique to lung cancer, and other respiratory diseases may also cause similar symptoms. If you have persistent cough, blood in sputum, chest pain, etc., it is recommended to seek medical attention and treatment in time.
