Can gastritis turn into gastric cancer? Why?

Can gastritis turn into gastric cancer? Why?

Many people are busy in their lives and often have improper diets, which increase the burden on the stomach and intestines. Long-term symptoms can cause gastritis, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, and bleeding in the digestive system. As the disease worsens, a few patients will vomit blood or even have symptoms of shock, so they are very worried that gastritis will develop into gastric cancer. If the pathology report suspects or confirms atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia and intrinsic glandular reduction can be diagnosed. The main symptom of gastritis is upper abdominal pain.

Symptoms of early stomach cancer in women

Generally speaking, female patients with early gastric cancer will experience upper abdominal pain, and some patients may also experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, anemia, weight loss, fatigue and other symptoms. However, the symptoms of female patients with early gastric cancer are generally not typical, so patients often ignore their own conditions. In the early stages of gastric cancer, patients generally do not experience specific changes, but some patients will experience bloating, stomach pain, diarrhea or constipation, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and other adverse phenomena. Early gastric cancer may cause gastrointestinal bleeding and pain in the pit of the stomach, but the mildest symptoms are dull pain in the abdomen.

How long can I live with gastric cancer and vomiting blood?

It mainly depends on whether surgical treatment can be adopted. If surgical treatment is possible, the survival period is three to five years. If the patient is in the late stage of gastric cancer and vomits blood and cannot be treated, the survival period is about three months. If gastric cancer vomits blood, it means that the gastric cancer is quite serious. First of all, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a check-up to see if the gastric cancer is in the early stage or the late stage. If vomiting blood occurs in the early stage, then through timely chemotherapy and surgery, the life expectancy is the same as that of normal people, generally ranging from 10 to 20 years. There is no direct correlation between vomiting blood from gastric cancer and the survival period of gastric cancer.
