What are the three main factors that cause nasopharyngeal cancer?

How is nasopharyngeal cancer caused?

There are more and more patients with nasopharyngeal cancer in life, and the harm is particularly great. People should actively understand how the lesions of the disease are formed, strengthen preventive measures, and effectively eliminate the harm caused by nasopharyngeal cancer. The factors of nasopharyngeal cancer are:

First: Genetic Susceptibility to Tumors: The first-degree relatives of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients have a risk of contracting the disease more than ten times that of normal relatives. Most nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients also have a family history of the disease. The offspring and mixed-race children of two residents in high- and low-incidence areas have a lower incidence rate than their ancestors, and there are family and ethnic clusters. It can be seen that nasopharyngeal carcinoma has a certain degree of heredity, but it is also related to common living factors and environmental factors.

Second: Salted fish, bacon and pickled foods containing nitrosamine compounds are prone to nasopharyngeal cancer. These foods can induce nasopharyngeal cancer. Drinking water has high nickel and lead content, and relatively low zinc, copper and cadmium content. Rice has high nickel content, and low molybdenum, chromium, lead and cadmium content. Changes in these trace elements may also be related to the occurrence of nasopharyngeal cancer. The nickel content is also high in the hair of nasopharyngeal cancer patients.

Third: It is related to EB virus infection: The survey found that 3-59% of children in high-incidence areas were infected with EB virus. The serum immunological test of 1006 NPC patients found that the positive rate of virus antibodies was 90.9% in other tumor patients and only 6.0% in normal people, and 0.6-2.7%. The EB virus infection rate is closely related to the incidence of NPC.

Infection with this virus is the main cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and needs to be taken seriously. Epstein-Barr virus particles were found in the lymphoblastoid cell line of Epstein-Barr virus isolated from nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissue. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma exists in the body. The titer of Epstein-Barr virus antibodies is high, and the titer is high in severe nasopharyngeal carcinoma. As nasopharyngeal carcinoma recovers, the antibody titer decreases, indicating that Epstein-Barr virus is closely related to the cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
