Dietary taboos for breast cancer patients

Dietary taboos for breast cancer patients

There are no special dietary taboos for breast cancer patients, but good eating habits can supplement nutrition, repair damaged cells and tissues, and promote early recovery. The specific situation is as follows: 1. Avoid eating high-fat, high-calorie foods such as barbecue and fried foods. Honey should also be consumed less. Avoid such foods from being converted into estrogen in the body, which is one of the causes of breast cancer; 2. Appropriately increase the intake of soy products, which can competitively inhibit the production of estrogen in the body and have a good promoting effect on the body's health and prognosis; 3. Balance nutrition and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables to increase anti-cancer ability.

What tests should be done for breast cancer

The examination of breast cancer is mainly based on local examination, as follows: 1. Breast palpation: palpation by professional doctors to check the texture of the tumor; 2. Ultrasound examination: can accurately diagnose breast cancer; 3. Pathological examination: through preoperative needle aspiration biopsy or intraoperative specimen biopsy, the specific type of breast cancer is determined. Because needle aspiration biopsy is easy to induce metastasis, it is generally not recommended; 4. Basic preoperative examination: chest CT, biochemical test, etc. At present, the treatment of breast cancer is mainly surgery. According to the results of intraoperative pathological examination, the surgeon decides the specific surgical plan.

TCM treatment of breast cancer

The TCM treatment of breast cancer emphasizes syndrome differentiation, disease differentiation and symptomatic treatment, as follows: 1. Syndrome differentiation is the core. Common syndromes include liver qi stagnation, dampness and blood stasis, spleen and stomach weakness, etc. Different syndromes have different pathological mechanisms and require different prescriptions; 2. Disease differentiation, that is, the use of anti-tumor active drugs, including drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, softening and dispersing nodules, and clearing away heat and detoxifying, which can be added to the Chinese medicine prescription for coordinated syndrome differentiation; 3. Symptomatic treatment, for advanced patients with pain, local redness and swelling, blood circulation and collateral dredging drugs can be added; for vomiting during chemotherapy, Qi-promoting drugs can be added; for those with weak bodies, Qi-invigorating drugs such as Codonopsis pilosula and Astragalus membranaceus can be added.
