Will stomach cancer be inherited to the next generation?

Gastric cancer is a digestive system disease that is not hereditary, but there is a slight tendency. Prevention should be done in the later stage, and regular check-ups should be done when there are abnormalities. At the same time, people with a family history of gastric cancer also need to be vigilant. It is recommended to do regular health check-ups to clarify their own physical condition, which can effectively reduce the incidence of gastric cancer. In addition, if patients with gastric ulcers do not receive timely treatment and do not actively undergo follow-up examinations, gastric cancer may occur over time.

Mid-term gastric cancer survival rate

Patients with mid-stage gastric cancer usually refer to stage II gastric cancer. The depth of cancer cell infiltration in patients often exceeds the submucosal layer to reach the muscular layer. Under normal circumstances, patients with mid-stage lung cancer can still consider surgical treatment. Radical surgery can be performed to remove part or all of the stomach, including the cancer lesions and the stomach wall that may be infiltrated. The lymph nodes around the stomach can also be cleared. Mid-stage gastric cancer is clinically called advanced gastric cancer. The specific definition is that the depth of cancer tissue infiltration exceeds the submucosal layer of gastric cancer. According to the Borrmann classification method, it can be divided into type I mass type, type II ulcer limited type, type III ulcer infiltration type, and type IV diffuse infiltration type. We need to clarify the degree of malignancy of gastric cancer tumors. There are four common types: well-differentiated cancer, moderately differentiated cancer, poorly differentiated cancer, and undifferentiated cancer. The higher the degree of differentiation, the lower the malignancy, the better the treatment effect, and the longer the survival time.

How to differentiate between gastric ulcer and gastric cancer?

The clinical manifestations of the two diseases are also different. Patients with gastric ulcers will have typical periodic pain, and the pain will worsen after eating. The pain of gastric cancer does not have an obvious pattern. The clinical symptoms are different. Gastric ulcers may cause pain, especially when eating greasy food. The most typical difference between gastric ulcers and gastric cancer is that gastric ulcers are benign lesions, while gastric cancer is malignant lesions.
