What tests should be done for breast cancer

In clinical cases where breast cancer is suspected, the most basic examination is usually breast color Doppler ultrasound and mammography. Color Doppler ultrasound is generally the most practical and effective examination method. It can detect breast nodules and make a graded judgment. Generally, lesions above grade four are likely to be malignant. At the same time, mammography can be performed, which is one of the most effective imaging examination methods. At the same time, in order to further clarify, resection examination or hollow needle puncture examination can be performed to clarify the pathology. The gold standard for breast cancer diagnosis is the discovery of cancer cells during pathological examination. After the diagnosis of breast cancer is confirmed, a comprehensive treatment strategy needs to be selected based on the stage and molecular typing of the tumor.

How to treat mucinous breast cancer

Mucinous breast cancer is a type of breast cancer. Breast cancer is generally a common malignant tumor in women, but it is not exclusive to women. Breast cancer can also occur in men. Generally, mucinous breast cancer is more common in women and may begin as a painless breast lump. As the disease progresses, axillary lymph node metastasis may occur. In this case, surgery and pathological examination can confirm the diagnosis of mucinous breast cancer. After the diagnosis, surgical radical treatment plus axillary lymph node dissection is generally performed. After the surgery, comprehensive anti-tumor treatment is also required because breast cancer is also a systemic disease.

Is breast cancer treatable?

It depends on the stage and pathological classification of breast cancer. For early breast cancer, early radical surgery after discovery, combined with comprehensive anti-tumor treatment, such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted drug therapy, etc., may achieve long-term survival. For example, there are cases of survival of more than five years, ten years or even longer. However, if it is some pathological classification, the malignancy is relatively high, such as triple-negative breast cancer and widespread metastasis to other parts. This is difficult to treat and the treatment effect is relatively poor.
