The benefits of early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment for colorectal cancer patients

Early detection, diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer can significantly improve the cure rate, reduce the damage of the disease to the body, and is also the key to prolonging life and improving the quality of life.

Intestinal cancer is a common malignant tumor of the digestive tract. In the early stage, the symptoms are often not obvious, which may be just mild abdominal pain, blood in the stool or changes in bowel habits. Therefore, many people tend to ignore it. However, the treatment effect of early stage intestinal cancer is much better than that of middle and late stage, and even the possibility of complete cure will be greatly increased.

When detected in the early stages, colorectal cancer is usually confined to the intestinal wall, and the patient's survival rate is very high after surgical removal of the tumor. In the middle and late stages, cancer cells may have spread to other organs or lymph nodes, making treatment significantly more difficult. Even with surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, the prognosis is poor. Early treatment of colorectal cancer causes less damage to the body, quicker recovery after surgery, and lower costs, and has a much lighter impact on life and finances than late-stage treatment.

It is recommended that middle-aged people or people with high-risk factors such as family history undergo regular colonoscopy. Even if there are no symptoms, do not take it lightly. Once abnormal phenomena such as blood in the stool and abdominal pain are found, go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. At the same time, maintaining a high-fiber, low-fat diet and regular exercise can help prevent the occurrence of colorectal cancer.
