Early symptoms of rectal cancer

Early symptoms of colorectal cancer usually include changes in bowel habits, blood or mucus in the stool, abdominal discomfort, etc. If these symptoms occur, you should see a doctor as soon as possible and get a clear diagnosis through colonoscopy and other examinations.

The most common symptom of early colorectal cancer is a change in bowel habits, such as alternating diarrhea and constipation, increased or decreased bowel movement, and a constant feeling of defecation but an inability to actually pass stool. Blood in the stool is an important warning sign of colorectal cancer, especially when bright red or dark red blood accompanies the stool, and there may even be mucus attached to the surface of the stool. Some patients may also experience abdominal distension, dull pain in the lower abdomen, or systemic manifestations of weight loss and fatigue. Early symptoms are sometimes only mild discomfort and are easy to ignore, so you should be vigilant.

Eating more foods rich in dietary fiber, such as whole grains, vegetables and fruits, limiting the intake of processed meat, and maintaining regular exercise, all of which play a positive role in reducing the risk of colorectal cancer. Developing a healthy lifestyle is an important key to prevention and auxiliary treatment.
