Top ten industries causing sudden death

Top ten industries causing sudden death

There are many people who love their jobs and work hard, but eventually they lose their lives because of work. Any job has certain risks. For those high-intensity jobs, it is very easy to cause sudden death. Many doctors will suffer from cardiac arrest due to long-term continuous surgery. Therefore, you should ensure sufficient rest time after work. So what are the top ten industries with sudden death?

Sudden death refers to natural, unexpected death. According to the standards set by the World Health Organization, it is defined as: non-traumatic, unexpected sudden death occurring within 6 hours. Because most cases occur within 1 hour after the onset of symptoms, more people advocate defining sudden death as death within 1 hour after onset of symptoms. Sudden death refers to the irreversible cessation of biological functions.

There are two peak periods of sudden death: 1. From birth to 6 months; 2. 30-50 years old.

Sudden death from cardiovascular disease accounts for 40-50%, sudden death from respiratory system disease accounts for 16-22%, sudden death from nervous system disease accounts for 15-18%, sudden death from digestive system disease accounts for 8-10%, sudden death from urinary and reproductive disease accounts for 5-10%, and sudden death from other diseases accounts for 5-8%.

Symptoms of sudden death

There aren't many, especially specific and valuable signs. This is also why sudden death is more likely to occur in young people. Most young people think they are in good physical condition and do not pay much attention to their health. If they feel a little uncomfortable, they usually do not seek medical treatment immediately. However, once a malignant cause appears, they are often caught off guard.

1. Pain

In comparison, pain response is the easiest signal to grasp and perceive among the signs of sudden death. If you feel severe, tight, squeezing pain in your chest and feel like you can't breathe, you should be alert.

2. Potential Causes

In addition to pain, you should also be alert to potential causes that may lead to sudden death. For example, whether there is a history of thrombosis. For example, a patient with a fracture who has been restricted from exercise for a period of time is prone to venous thrombosis, and once the venous thrombosis breaks out, pulmonary infarction may occur.

3. Breath holding, obvious cyanosis, purple lips, and decreased blood oxygen

If the nature of your job requires sitting or standing for long periods of time and your blood circulation is poor, when the disease flares up, in addition to pain, if there is also shortness of breath, obvious cyanosis, purple lips, decreased blood oxygen, etc., you should highly suspect that it may be pulmonary embolism.

4. Severely elevated blood pressure

For patients with aortic dissection, the symptoms are severe pain, accompanied by severe increase in blood pressure.

5. Chest pain

As we all know, angina pectoris and myocardial infarction are both included in coronary heart disease, and coronary heart disease has the highest sudden death rate. The typical symptom of coronary heart disease is chest pain, which usually occurs behind the sternum. The entire boundary is not very clear, and its area will be slightly larger (about the same size as the palm of your hand), or you may not be able to tell exactly where it hurts, but it is mainly a dull pain. After taking medicine for angina pectoris, the symptoms will be relieved within a few minutes to ten minutes. The stinging pain of a needle or the feeling of "pain when pressed" often has little to do with the heart.
