1. After the above stages are basically consolidated, you can often do some activities such as standing with support, moving the body to the left and right, squatting, etc.; you can also step on the spot, lift your legs alternately, move to the left and right by holding the edge of the table or bed, and walk forward with one hand holding someone and the other holding a crutch. When exercising, you should intentionally put weight on the affected limb, but be careful to gradually increase the amount of activity and manage the time so as not to over-fatigue yourself. At the same time, you can do exercises such as raising, elevating, and lifting the affected upper limb to improve blood circulation and eliminate edema. You can actively flex and extend your arm, wrist, and close and spread your fingers while lying flat on the bed, and grab a ping-pong ball or a small iron ball with your hand.

3. Gradually strengthen functional exercises to achieve independence. After being able to walk by yourself, lift your legs when walking, take a stride, and gradually step over door thresholds, walk on slopes, go up and down stairs, and do other exercises, gradually increasing the distance. Patients with better recovery of lower limbs can also do short-distance running. The exercises for the upper limbs mainly focus on training the flexibility and coordination of the hands, such as combing hair, dressing, unbuttoning, using an abacus, writing, washing face, etc., as well as participating in activities such as playing table tennis and kicking a ball, and gradually achieving the ability to take care of oneself in daily life. While carrying out functional rehabilitation exercises, reliable drug prevention and treatment should be adhered to, and acupuncture, massage, etc. can also be used in combination. In addition to building up the patient's confidence in recovery, accompanying family members must also have patience and perseverance, and must not act too hastily or become bored and discouraged and give up halfway.
