Contagious yawning:

People often say that yawning is contagious. This is indeed the case in real life. As long as one person yawns, people around him will start yawning one after another. So is yawning really contagious? Experiments have found that when scientists played a video of yawning to some adults, 42% to 55% of them started yawning. It seems that quite a lot of people are susceptible to contagious yawning.

Yawning is a way for the human body to automatically regulate brain temperature. When the brain begins to overheat, the maxillary sinus expands and contracts to allow cool air to enter the brain, thereby cooling the brain.

The characteristic of yawning is to take a deep breath with the mouth open, while the muscles of the jaw and the whole body are stretched. In addition, breathing and yawning are controlled by different brain areas; when the oxygen concentration in the paraventricular nucleus located in the hypothalamus of the brain decreases, people will yawn.

However, in daily life, we should also have a reasonable diet, which will be of great help to have a healthy body.
