The optimal growth temperature is 26-27℃. If the average temperature is 18℃ for one month in a year, the yield will drop significantly. If the average temperature is lower than 15℃, it will cause flowers and fruits to fall and leaves to turn yellow. The moisture condition should be an annual rainfall of more than 1500-2000mm, and it should be evenly distributed, but in areas with abundant groundwater sources or irrigation, an annual rainfall of 600-800mm can also grow well; drought can affect coconut production for up to 2-3 years, and long-term waterlogging will also affect the growth and yield of coconuts. Coconut is suitable for growing in low-altitude areas. In Hainan Island of my country, it can only grow and develop well in places below 150-200m above sea level.
