Air conditioning principles and maintenance

In contemporary China, almost every household has an air conditioner, a small household appliance. Under the leadership of the motherland, people have entered a well-off life and are leading a happy life. But when you are enjoying the comfort and coolness brought by the air conditioner, have you ever thought about how it works? When the air conditioner has been used for a period of time and has a little problem, do you know how to repair it?

It doesn’t matter if you have never paid attention to the working principles and maintenance of air conditioners before. Today, you only need to spend a few minutes reading this article, and all the questions you want to know will be self-evident. Then in your future life, the knowledge you learned today will help you a lot.

The compressor compresses the gaseous Freon into high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous Freon, and then sends it to the condenser (outdoor unit) to dissipate heat and become liquid Freon at room temperature and high pressure, so the outdoor unit blows out hot air.

Then it goes to the capillary tube and enters the evaporator (indoor unit). Because the space suddenly increases and the pressure decreases after the Freon reaches the evaporator from the capillary tube, the liquid Freon will vaporize and become gaseous low-temperature Freon, thereby absorbing a large amount of heat, and the evaporator will become cold. The fan of the indoor unit blows the indoor air through the evaporator, so the indoor unit blows out cold air; the water vapor in the air condenses into water droplets when it encounters the cold evaporator and flows out along the water pipe. This is why the air conditioner discharges water.

The gaseous Freon then returns to the compressor to continue compression, and the cycle continues. When heating, there is a component called a four-way valve that makes the flow direction of Freon in the condenser and evaporator opposite to that in cooling. Therefore, when heating, cold air is blown outdoors and hot air is blown indoors.

In fact, it is the principle learned in junior high school physics that heat is released during liquefaction (from gas to liquid) and heat is absorbed during vaporization (from liquid to gas).

Now you should have a deeper understanding of the working principles and maintenance of air conditioners, so I believe that in your future life, you can use the air conditioner according to these working principles. When the air conditioner breaks down, you can also use the knowledge you have learned today to solve it, so that your air conditioner is always in a good operating condition.
