The principle of making yogurt is that lactic acid bacteria ferment and grow in milk. As for the principle of the yogurt machine, it is to provide the optimal temperature (42 degrees) for the growth of lactic acid bacteria, so one component heats and one component controls the temperature, that's all.

It should be noted that 42 degrees is the optimal growth temperature for lactic acid bacteria, at which they grow fastest. Of course, it can also grow under other temperature conditions. Therefore, yogurt will go bad even if it is kept in a refrigerator at 4 degrees for a long time. This is because under 4 degrees conditions, lactic acid bacteria will grow excessively over time.

If you use a thermos, it is possible to measure the temperature after a while and add hot water when the temperature is low, but it will be very troublesome. Even so, it can only guarantee fluctuations within 42 degrees, and the fermentation effect is not as good as using a yogurt machine.

However, drinking yogurt does not prevent you from gaining weight. Yogurt itself contains a certain amount of calories. If you eat more on top of your original diet, it will also cause weight gain. The best way is to choose yogurt labeled skimmed and low-calorie. Although their taste is not as rich and mellow as full-fat yogurt, they are low in calories and will not accumulate in the body quickly and cause weight gain.
