Swollen chin lymph nodes are caused by these 6 reasons

Swollen chin lymph nodes are a common phenomenon in life, but few people know what causes them. In fact, swollen chin lymph nodes are related to 6 reasons. The first reason is acute inflammation of the mouth or face caused by bacterial infection.

1. If we are infected by bacteria and cause acute inflammation in the mouth or face, it will cause swelling of the chin lymph nodes. The swollen lymph nodes are soft in texture and have good mobility, and the condition will disappear once the inflammation disappears.

2. Viral infections such as measles and infectious mononucleosis can cause swollen lymph nodes. Sometimes lymphadenopathy has important diagnostic value, such as rubella, which often causes occipital lymphadenopathy.

3. Lymph node tuberculosis is most common in the form of enlarged cervical lymph nodes, some of which may rupture and some may not. It is sometimes difficult to distinguish it from lymphoma clinically. The diagnostic method is to perform lymph node puncture, smear and biopsy multiple times and in multiple locations to find the primary lesion of tuberculosis.

4. If you suffer from lymphoma, you may also have swollen lymph nodes in the chin, and the lymph nodes are hard, immobile, and not tender.

Especially for patients with gastric cancer and esophageal cancer, enlarged small lymph nodes can be felt above the clavicle. Breast cancer patients should frequently palpate the axillary lymph nodes to determine whether the tumor has metastasized.

5. The lymph node enlargement of leukemia is systemic, but is most obvious in the neck, armpits, and groin. In addition to swollen lymph nodes, patients also have anemia, persistent fever, and the appearance of a large number of immature cells in the blood and bone marrow.

6. Lymph node enlargement caused by lymphoma is more common in the neck. Lymphoma is a tumor that originates in lymph nodes or lymphatic tissue, and there are also some lesions outside the lymph nodes, such as damage to the tonsils, nasopharynx, gastrointestinal tract, spleen, etc.
