Mycoplasma infection

Mycoplasma infection

When it comes to diseases such as mycoplasma infection, I believe many people will feel extremely frightened. Because mycoplasma infection is one of the contagious diseases induced by sexual contact. In addition, the main groups of people who suffer from the disease are homosexuals, prostitutes, and even some promiscuous people. The main cause of this disease is too many sexual partners and not taking the best safety measures during sexual intercourse, which greatly increases the infection rate by causing human-to-human transmission.

In fact, mycoplasma infection generally does not occur in ordinary, normal men and women. As long as we keep ourselves clean and do not have sexual relations with multiple female and male friends, the chance of infection can be said to be very low. So what are the symptoms of mycoplasma infection?

Mycoplasma infection

Causes

Mycoplasmas are the smallest microorganisms that live outside cells. It is a type of prokaryotic cell-type microorganism that lacks a cell wall. It has many species, is widely distributed, and causes considerable harm, involving humans, animals, plants, insects and other fields, bringing adverse effects to human health and scientific research.

Clinical manifestations

1. Urogenital tract infection

The incubation period is 1 to 3 weeks. The typical acute symptoms are similar to those of other non-gonococcal genitourinary tract infections, including urethral stinging, varying degrees of urgency and frequency of urination, and stinging during urination, especially when the urine is more concentrated. The urethral opening is slightly red and swollen, the secretion is thin, small in amount, and is serous or purulent. The urethra needs to be squeezed hard to see the secretion overflow. There is often a small amount of other sexual secretions at the urethral opening in the morning, or only a scab membrane seals the opening, or a dirty crotch is seen.

2. Symptoms of Mycoplasma infection in men

It is easy to develop prostatitis, epididymitis, etc.; as a result of infection, the secretions of these parts become seriously infected; it directly affects the vitality and motility of sperm, resulting in a significant decrease in sperm quality and a significant increase in the number of dead sperm; the number of sperm with fertilization ability decreases, their motility decreases, their morphology becomes abnormal, and some have low or lost their ability to enter the egg and combine with it; or it directly leads to infertility.

3. Symptoms of Mycoplasma infection in women

In the early stages of female infection, the vagina and cervix are usually invaded. These organs become inflamed, causing increased secretions. The vaginal discharge has an unusual odor, and some people feel slight discomfort in the reproductive tract. It is precisely because of the hidden symptoms that patients are often invaded by human Mycoplasma without knowing it. If not treated promptly, the infection will continue. It causes inflammation of the endometrium and swelling of the fallopian tube cilia, which damages the physiological functions of these organs, directly affects the entry of sperm into the uterus and fallopian tube, affects the combination of sperm and egg, and affects the normal operation of the fertilized egg.

treat

Commonly used drugs: doxycycline, azithromycin, ofloxacin, etc.

After reading about the symptoms of mycoplasma infection, I believe you all already know the harmfulness of this disease. Mycoplasma infection is extremely harmful to our reproductive organs. For male friends, it can easily lead to poor sperm quality and directly cause infertility. For female friends, it can easily cause damage to the uterus and even seriously affect the combination of sperm and egg. Therefore, we should keep ourselves clean, otherwise it is easy to harm ourselves and others.
