The dangers of high aspartate aminotransferase

The dangers of high aspartate aminotransferase

There are various enzymes in our human body that coordinate and cooperate with each other, which ensures the normal functioning of our body and our health. On the contrary, if there is some problem with these essential enzymes in our body, which leads to disagreement and loss of balance, our body will become sick, and in severe cases, even death. The aspartate aminotransferase introduced below is one of them.

When it comes to aspartate aminotransferase, you may feel unfamiliar or even have never heard of it, because most of us don't usually deal with these aspects. However, the content of aspartate aminotransferase is closely related to our health. Here we will introduce the dangers of high aspartate aminotransferase.

Aspartate aminotransferase, also known as aspartate aminotransferase, is an important type of transaminase. It is an indicator of liver function test in medical clinical practice and is used to determine whether the liver is damaged. Under normal circumstances, the normal reference value of aspartate aminotransferase in a healthy person is 0-40U/L (unit per liter).

Under normal circumstances, aspartate aminotransferase exists in tissue cells, with the highest content in myocardial cells, followed by the liver, and very little content in serum. Aspartate aminotransferase is mainly present in the mitochondria of liver cells. Only when the liver is severely necrotic or damaged can the concentration of aspartate aminotransferase in the serum be high. The aspartate aminotransferase level is high. The aminotransferase value of hepatitis patients is always high, reflecting that the inflammation of liver cells has never stopped and the swelling and necrosis of liver cells persist. Determining the level of this enzyme in serum can be used to assist in diagnosing diseases and observing prognosis.

High aspartate aminotransferase levels indicate liver damage and are a sign that the body needs treatment. Alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase are mainly distributed in the hepatocytes of the liver. When liver cells are damaged, transaminase will be released into the blood, so the transaminase level in the blood test will be high. The degree of elevation of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase is consistent with the degree of liver cell damage. If not treated promptly, the virus will slowly cause massive liver cell death, the disease will gradually worsen, and eventually develop into cancer.

Knowing so much about aspartate aminotransferase and understanding the harm caused by high aspartate aminotransferase levels will be more helpful for us to protect our bodies in daily life. In our daily life, we should avoid eating fried and spicy foods as much as possible, and our diet should be light. If conditions permit, you can eat more foods high in protein and more fresh fruits and vegetables, which will help ensure the balance of aspartate aminotransferase in our body.
