6 ways to test whether you have hemorrhoids

Do you know how to test yourself to see if you have hemorrhoids? Many people have hemorrhoids but are still in the dark. Although hemorrhoids may not cause any harm to health, they will inevitably bring countless troubles to patients' daily life and work. Many people are shocked when they experience blood in their stools or swelling in their anus, thinking they have some disease. In fact, these are symptoms of hemorrhoids. Here we will teach you how to do self-test for hemorrhoids. Let’s take a look.

1. Blood in the stool

The main early symptoms of internal hemorrhoids include spurting bleeding, spotting, blood on toilet paper, etc. The blood is bright red and can occur before or after defecation, or it can be simple blood in the stool, or it can be mixed with feces.

2. Anorectal pain

Because the anus is rich in nerves and sensitive, it is easy to experience mild or severe pain after stimulation, such as tingling, distension, burning pain, and heaviness, which can occur during or after defecation.

3. Anorectal distension

It may be the main symptom of painful external hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids are painless when there is no inflammation. The pain of falling pain often occurs in internal hemorrhoid infection, incarceration and strangulation necrosis, and often causes severe pain of falling pain. In mild cases, only local distension and heaviness are seen; in severe cases, there is tenesmus and heaviness in the abdomen, with frequent urination to the toilet, and the heaviness remains after defecation, which is very painful.

4. Anal tumor prolapse

The main symptoms of middle and late stage internal hemorrhoids are mainly due to the enlargement of internal hemorrhoid nodules, which separate the mucosa and submucosa from the anal layer. During defecation, the internal hemorrhoid nodules may drop below the dentate line and float free outside the anal canal. The protrusions or growths in the rectum or anal canal may protrude through the anus. In mild cases, the protrusions may only protrude outside the anus during defecation. In severe cases, the protrusions may occur when the abdominal pressure increases, such as by coughing, squatting, or exerting force.

5. Anal discharge

It can overflow from the fistula, be discharged from the anus, or overflow from the skin around the anus.

6. Anal Itching

It is mostly due to itching and discomfort caused by irritation of the anus and surrounding skin. In addition, repeated prolapse of internal hemorrhoids in the late stage can cause relaxation of the anal sphincter and increased secretions, resulting in the anal margin being often moist and unclean, itching and eczema, and in severe cases it can also cause friction pain and itching pain. Bleeding from internal hemorrhoids can also cause anemia. Dizziness, fatigue, poor energy, loss of appetite, and dry stools are common symptoms of anemia.

Finally, I would like to advise everyone not to eat spicy food if you have hemorrhoids. Eating spicy food may feel good for a while, but it will cause the pepper to irritate the capillaries in the anal canal, causing them to swell, which will aggravate the condition of hemorrhoids, which is not worth the cost. Hemorrhoid patients are advised to eat more light food, especially to clean the buttocks in time after each bowel movement to avoid infection and inflammation.
