(1) Fast 2-3 days a week

At the same time, fasting helps to activate the consumption and burning of body fat, and also has a good promoting effect on maintaining or losing weight.



(2) Eat less or no dinner

Don't eat dinner. This is what Chinese medicine says about health preservation: "Do not eat after noon. It removes fat and nourishes the stomach. This is the sixth rule of health preservation." People cannot eat very full all day long, as this makes it easy to get sick. Therefore, Chinese medicine and Buddhism both teach: "Do not eat after noon." After noon means after 13:00. That is why it is our Chinese tradition not to eat dinner. It turns out that skipping dinner does not affect one's health. On the contrary, it is less likely to get sick because it induces a strong sense of hunger. Of course, you can also drink a bowl of porridge or eat some fruit. Modern people are always sick because they eat too much dinner.



(3) Be patient when you are hungry

When you want to eat, please wait for half an hour before eating. This is to allow the "vitality gene" to start working. Do not drink coffee or tea on an empty stomach, as they are very stimulating and may induce vomiting. It is recommended to drink decaffeinated beverages such as barley tea.



(4) Eat until you are 60% to 80% full

By reducing the amount of food you eat, the fasting time will be prolonged, which is beneficial to the work of the "vitality gene". It is recommended that people start by eating until they are 80% full, and gradually control to 60% full. Additionally, reducing the size of your tableware can help reduce your food intake.



(5) One dish and one soup per meal

Dishes that are too rich can also easily lead to overeating. For example, you can try changing your breakfast to a small bowl of rice and a bowl of soup.



(6) Consume “complete nutrition”

When it comes to nutritional intake, quality is more important than quantity. For example, eating a whole small fish with bones and skin can meet the human body's nutritional needs in many aspects. The same applies to eating vegetables and fruits. Do not remove the skin and roots because these parts are rich in dietary fiber.
