Is banana acidic or alkaline?

In our lives, many foods are alkaline, and bananas are no exception, so bananas can neutralize excess stomach acid in our stomach. Some people may not know that bananas are alkaline, mainly because we cannot taste the alkaline nature of bananas when we eat them. But I believe that after reading the following introduction, you will know why bananas are alkaline.

Bananas are also alkaline, but their alkalinity is weaker. Most fruits are alkaline in nature, so there is no need to be so picky. Fruits are nutritious and are good for your body as long as you like to eat them. For example, lemons, oranges, grapefruits, grapes, sugarcane juice, green plums, etc. are all alkaline and are commonly found on the market.

Functions of bananas:

Bananas, which are rich in potassium, are ranked number one among foods for beautiful legs. The rich potassium they contain can help you stretch your leg muscles, prevent leg cramps, and relieve your legs. At the same time, bananas are sweet and cold in nature, and have high medicinal value. Foreign media reported that eating a banana for breakfast, lunch and dinner can provide the human body with rich potassium, thereby reducing the chance of blood clots in the brain by about 21%. Its main functions are to clear the intestines and stomach, treat constipation, and it also has the effects of clearing heat and moistening the lungs, relieving thirst, replenishing essence, and detoxifying alcohol. Because bananas are cold in nature, people with weak spleen and stomach, stomach pain, and diarrhea should eat less of them, and people with excessive stomach acid should eat as little as possible. Mix banana and milk into a paste and apply it on your face to whiten your skin.

[Pharmacological action] The pulp contains a lot of norepinephrine, 5-hydroxytryptamine and dihydroxyphenylethylamine. The bananas produced in Japan contain 10-15 micrograms/gram of 5-hydroxytryptamine. According to measurements, the norepinephrine content in bananas produced in Uganda is 2 micrograms/gram, and the 5-hydroxytryptamine content is 16.2 micrograms/gram.

Daily intake of 10 mg of 5-HT does not affect gastrointestinal function, but excessive intake may cause gastrointestinal dysfunction.

Bananas should not be eaten when measuring urinary indoles or catecholamines.

Unripe banana pulp has a preventive (taken at the same time) or therapeutic (taken 15 days after taking phenylbutazone) effect on guinea pigs' gastric ulcers induced by phenylbutazone. It also has a protective effect on rats' gastric ulcers induced by enforced immobility, but is ineffective against those induced by prednisone.

This protective effect may be due to the serotonin contained in it, which reduces stomach acid, and the banana pulp, which relieves irritation. It has no anticholine effect and no central nervous system inhibitory effect.

The article introduces that bananas are alkaline. You all know why, right? Because bananas as a fruit contain a lot of potassium and other vitamins. Eating some bananas in our lives is helpful to our health. I hope you can eat some in your life, especially female friends who love beauty.
