In daily life, people’s eating habits are getting better and better, because excessive greasy diet or bad habits in life can easily cause cardiovascular diseases. Some friends have to use cardiovascular stents, but everyone knows that it will leave sequelae. So how should we deal with the sequelae of cardiovascular stents? Let me introduce it to you. There are two purposes of treating coronary heart disease: one is to prolong the patient's life expectancy, and the other is to improve the patient's quality of life. Currently, there are three methods for treating coronary heart disease. The first is drug treatment, which is taking medicine to control symptoms. The key points are to dilate coronary arteries, reduce cardiac load and inhibit platelet aggregation. The second is percutaneous coronary intervention, which is what we often call stent placement. The third type is coronary artery bypass grafting surgery, also known as coronary artery bypass grafting. Human experience has shown that the short-term and long-term effects of drug therapy alone are significantly inferior to stents and coronary artery bypass grafting. Coronary artery bypass grafting and interventional stents each have their own advantages and disadvantages and are suitable for different situations. In general, coronary artery bypass surgery provides sufficient revascularization, completely relieves myocardial ischemia, and has good postoperative effects, but the risks are slightly greater. The advantages of stents are that they are less invasive and can be performed multiple times. However, its indications are narrow (especially it cannot be used for patients with lesions at the left main bifurcation, uncontrolled diabetes, and other patients with other intracardiac lesions who require surgical treatment), and the probability of requiring re-intervention (i.e., bridging surgery or re-stenting) after surgery is 7 times that of bridging surgery. In terms of cost, if multiple stents are inserted, it may be more expensive than surgery. In the United States, the ratio of patients who receive stents to those who undergo surgery is about two to three to one, in Japan and South Korea it is about five to one, and in China it is estimated to be at least ten to one. In 2009, Fuwai Hospital performed 6,771 percutaneous coronary interventions and 2,104 coronary artery bypass grafting surgeries (3.22:1). It is not the case that the conditions of Chinese patients are more suitable for stent placement, nor is it that Chinese physicians are more skilled in stent placement than foreign physicians. The only explanation is that due to the high technical requirements of coronary artery surgery, many domestic hospitals cannot meet the requirements for surgical treatment and can only place stents. There are a large number of patients who have stents placed who should not have them. Failure to choose treatment methods scientifically according to the condition of the disease will cause the greatest harm to the patient. After learning about the sequelae of cardiovascular stents, everyone must pay attention to their physical health in daily life and try to maintain a light diet. Friends who have just undergone cardiovascular stenting should be careful not to allow sequelae to occur. |
