Degenerative arthritis control

Degenerative arthritis control

We are all busy in life, which will inevitably cause certain damage to the spinal joints, especially for those who need to walk for a long time. They are particularly prone to degenerative arthritis, which can cause redness and swelling of the knees and pain in the joints. So when these symptoms appear, how should we deal with them and how to treat them? The following article will introduce them to you.

Currently, the treatment of osteoarthritis includes drug therapy, adjuvant therapy and surgical treatment. Treatment methods vary depending on the severity of the disease. "As for medication, if the condition is mild, you can take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce joint effusion; drugs to protect cartilage are mainly used to supplement glucosamine, because once the human body's cartilage is worn, it is difficult to regenerate on its own, and even if it is regenerated, the quality is different; another way is to use medication within the joint, that is, to drain the accumulated water in the joint and inject sodium hyaluronic acid to protect the cartilage and inhibit fluid accumulation." If medication cannot control the condition, surgical treatment is required.

It is understood that currently, the commonly used surgical treatments for osteoarthritis include arthroscopic surgery, osteotomy and artificial joint replacement. "Through arthroscopic surgery, it can be used for a long time. If all else fails, we will have to undergo a joint replacement and replace the joint with an artificial one." Dr. Lin explained that artificial joints and prostheses are two different things. They simply remove the worn and damaged joint surface, and implant an artificial joint like fitting a brace to restore the normal, smooth joint surface.

As the saying goes, if you are sick, treat the disease; if you are healthy, take precautions. After understanding the above degenerative arthritis, everyone has a certain amount of knowledge. I urge all friends to pay more attention to their physical health in daily life, and to check promptly if any pain in the joints occurs.
