1. The skin defect on the wound surface is too large. Common surgical burns of degree II or above, large flap necrosis after incision and drainage of neck carbuncle and back carbuncle, chronic leg ulcers caused by varicose veins of the lower limbs, and soft tissue infection and necrosis in diabetic patients, etc. If the skin defect is larger than 5 cm, conventional dressing changes are difficult to heal the wound. Only the use of point skin grafting can promote wound healing.

2. Wound infection Wound infection is the most common cause affecting wound healing. 4. Granuloma edema Repeated dressing changes, especially irregular dressing changes, can easily lead to granulation edema of the wound. The edematous granulation tissue is pale white or light red, has a lot of secretions, and is higher than the skin, which delays the healing of the wound. Cut off the unhealthy granulation tissue that protrudes from the skin, then apply 33% magnesium sulfate (magnesium ions can dehydrate the granulation tissue and promote skin cell regeneration), and perform local skin grafting when necessary. Under normal circumstances, change the dressing once every 2-4 days, and the wound can heal in about 1 month.

5. Systemic malnutrition: Most people with chronic wasting diseases such as tumors, diabetes, tuberculosis, etc. have poor systemic nutrition and weak collective resistance, which affects wound healing. Especially for cancer patients who have undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy, wound healing is more difficult. For such patients, in addition to local wound treatment, systemic nutritional support therapy should be carried out to improve their body's nutritional level and enhance the regenerative ability of tissue cells, thus promoting wound healing.

6. In addition, factors such as hematoma in the wound, poor drainage, and poor skin suture at the suture site are also reasons that make the wound difficult to heal.
