What is the normal body temperature in the armpit?

Abnormal body temperature needs to be relieved in time, otherwise the problem will become serious and affect your health. There are some reasons for abnormal body temperature, the most common one is a cold. After you have a cold, your temperature will be too high. So what is the normal armpit temperature? Many people don’t know about this. The following is a detailed introduction so that you can have some understanding of the normal armpit temperature.

Normal axillary temperature:

34.7℃-37.3℃ is the normal range

The temperature inside the human body is called body temperature. Maintaining a constant body temperature is a necessary condition to ensure normal metabolism and life activities. Body temperature is the product of material metabolism. The three major nutrients release energy during the oxidation process, of which about 50% is converted into body heat to maintain body temperature and continuously dissipated outside the body in the form of heat energy; another 45% is transferred to the high-energy phosphate bonds of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) for use by the body. The final result of the body's utilization still needs to be converted into heat energy and dissipated out of the body. This is where body temperature comes from.

The body temperature of a normal person is relatively constant. It is regulated by the temperature regulation center in the brain and hypothalamus and the action of neurohumoral regulation to maintain a dynamic balance between heat production and heat dissipation. Under normal physiological conditions, when body temperature rises, the body maintains a relatively constant body temperature by reducing heat production and increasing heat dissipation; conversely, when body temperature drops, heat production increases and heat dissipation decreases, keeping the body temperature at a normal level.

Normal body temperature is not a specific temperature point, but a temperature range. The body temperature deep inside the body is relatively constant and uniform, which is called deep body temperature; while the temperature on the body surface is affected by many factors and has greater changes and differences, which is called surface temperature. The body temperature referred to clinically is the average deep temperature. The body temperature is generally represented by the mouth, rectum and armpit, among which the rectal temperature is closest to the deep body temperature. Normal values: oral sublingual temperature is 37°C (range 36.3-37.2°C), rectal temperature is 37.5°C (higher than oral temperature (0.3-0.5°C), axillary temperature is 36.5°C (range 36.0°C-37.0°C).

After understanding the normal axillary temperature, when the axillary temperature is abnormal, it should be relieved in time. When the human body temperature is too high or too low, simple treatment methods should be chosen so that it will not affect the body. Especially for children, parents must choose the correct relief method.
