What usually causes gastric bleeding?

Gastric bleeding is a stomach disease that seriously endangers human health. What makes it different from other stomach diseases is that gastric bleeding sometimes occurs suddenly, making it difficult to prevent, and in severe cases it may be life-threatening. Generally speaking, before a patient suffers from gastric bleeding, he may have some chronic gastric disease or his stomach may not be in good condition due to lack of care. In addition, what other reasons can cause gastric bleeding?

1. Bad living habits. Irregular meals and excessive eating; frequent consumption of irritating foods such as beer, cola, strong tea, or indigestible foods; staying up late and not getting enough rest can all cause gastric bleeding in patients with gastric ulcers.

2. Emotional factors. Most of these patients suffer from primary diseases such as gastric ulcers. When the nerves are severely stimulated, the blood vessels dilate, and the blood vessels that were about to rupture but have not yet ruptured become congested, leading to rupture. They feel chest tightness and vomiting, and if they turn slightly, they will vomit a lot of blood.

3. Gastric bleeding caused by acute hemorrhagic gastritis. Most patients with this type of gastric bleeding can be effectively cured after regular treatment.

4. Patients with liver cirrhosis generally develop esophageal-gastric varices. If they eat rough food or are overly emotionally stimulated, the veins at the esophagus and gastric fundus will burst and massive bleeding will occur. However, gastric cancer usually causes ulcers and polyps. If you are not careful, the surface of these ulcers and polyps will be damaged, causing bleeding.

5. Gastric bleeding caused by drug abuse: According to some clinical observations, some hemostatic drugs and drugs that affect the cardiovascular system can also cause gastric bleeding. Such as indomethacin, aspirin or hormone drugs.

6. Bleeding caused by old injuries and diseases: Upper gastrointestinal bleeding in the elderly is common in esophageal varicose vein bleeding; upper gastrointestinal bleeding in young people is often caused by vascular bleeding caused by acute gastric mucosal lesions, such as excessive drinking that damages the gastric mucosa.

For patients with gastric bleeding, the most important thing to do is to rest in bed. When lying in bed, you must pay attention to keeping your breathing unobstructed. Otherwise, once symptoms of vomiting blood appear, it is easy to cause shock due to the obstructed respiratory tract. It is best for patients to go to the hospital in time. With the help of a doctor, these dangerous situations will not occur easily.
