Why is the number of small round epithelial cells high?

Epithelial cells are small round cells that make up the epithelial cells in our body. Small round epithelial cells come from the renal tubules and can be detected in the urine. Small round epithelial cells are almost absent in normal urine. Next, we will take a deeper look at what small round epithelial cells are. Please see the information.

Small round epithelial cells are generally named according to their shape and size, including basal transitional epithelial cells and renal tubular epithelial cells. If you can identify them under a light microscope without staining (experience is required), you can report them directly. If the identification is unclear, they can be collectively referred to as small round epithelial cells. They come from the renal tubules. It can also come from the deep mucosa of any part of the urinary tract. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the location of the lesion when these cells appear in the urine. If such cells are seen in casts, it is a strong basis for diagnosing renal tubular disease. In the case of rejection after kidney transplantation, sheets of small round epithelial cells may also appear in the urine. The white blood cell count is high. How high is it? How many + white blood cells are there in urine using the dry chemical test strip method?

Microscopic examination

1. Urine leukocytes are used to diagnose infections or inflammatory diseases of the kidneys and urogenital tract;

1) Pyelonephritis has positive bacterial culture, urine protein, hematuria, small round epithelial cells, flash cells, white blood cell casts, often accompanied by symptoms of back pain and mild edema;

2. Epithelial cells come from renal tubules, renal pelvis, renal calyces, ureters, bladders, and urethra. Different epithelial cells indicate lesions in corresponding parts;

3. Small round epithelial cells are the bottom transitional epithelial cells, which are shed from transitional epithelial cells in the renal calyces, ureters, bladder, urethra, etc.

Indicating inflammation or necrotic lesions in the corresponding area

The above is some relevant information and details about small round epithelial cells. In normal people's urine, there are generally no small round epithelial cells or only a very small number of small round epithelial cells. If there are too many small round epithelial cells, it should be taken seriously because it is very likely that there is a problem with the kidneys.
