What to eat for yellow eyeballs

What to eat for yellow eyeballs

Normally the whites of human eyes are white, but when the eyeballs turn yellow, we should be alert and consider whether there is something wrong with the liver function. Everyone should be familiar with liver function, as this item will be checked during physical examinations. So what should we eat when the eyeballs turn yellow? Now let’s have a preliminary understanding of what to eat when your eyes turn yellow.

Yellowing of the whites of the eyes indicates jaundice. Infectious liver disease, biliary tract disease, pregnancy poisoning and some hemolytic diseases are the causes of jaundice. You can eat more of the following foods:

1. Soybeans and soy products are rich in protein, calcium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B, moderate amounts of fat and a small amount of carbohydrates, which are very beneficial for liver repair.

2. Seafood such as hairtail, yellow croaker, whitebait, and crustaceans such as oysters and crabs can enhance immune function, repair damaged tissue cells, and protect against virus invasion. But the selection and cooking must be proper, otherwise food poisoning will occur. Steaming and boiling should be heated at 100 degrees for more than half an hour. If you are allergic to seafood, avoid eating it. You can eat more mushrooms, white fungus, kelp, seaweed, etc.

3. Watermelon has the functions of clearing away heat and detoxifying, relieving restlessness and quenching thirst, and promoting diuresis and lowering blood pressure. It is rich in large amounts of sugar, vitamins and proteases. Proteases can convert insoluble proteins into soluble proteins.

4. Foods rich in potassium: kelp, rice bran and wheat bran, almonds, oranges, raisins, bananas, plums, melon seeds

5. Eat high-protein, moderate-fat foods such as animal liver, lean meat, fish, shrimp, chicken, duck, and eggs

6. Fresh vegetables, fruits, day lily, jujube, sesame, hawthorn, etc. 7. Green tea is good for the liver. It has the effects of anti-coagulation, preventing platelet adhesion and aggregation, reducing white blood cell decrease, and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. However, tea should be drunk at appropriate times and in appropriate amounts. You can make a cup in the early morning, but it should not be too strong. The total amount of tea consumed per day should not exceed 1000~1500 ml. Stop drinking tea one hour before meals to prevent the tea from diluting stomach acid and hindering food absorption.

When yellow eyes occur, the first thing to do is to find out the cause. Sometimes it is just an inflammation of the eyes, but sometimes it is a problem with liver function, so it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a detailed examination. Secondly, you should exercise more often, pay attention to getting enough sleep and rest every day, drink plenty of water, pay attention to a reasonable daily diet, and try to avoid spicy food.
