What is holding urine checking for?

In daily life, in order to ensure good health, we usually hold our urine when doing examinations, especially women. When doing examinations for gynecological diseases, such as examinations of the uterine appendages, they need to do B-ultrasound examinations and they must hold their urine so that the examination results can be more obvious. Of course, there are various other examinations for holding urine, so let us take a look at what holding urine is checking for.

B-ultrasound of the liver is like a "radar" of the liver. It can play an auxiliary diagnostic role in the degree of liver damage and the presence of substantial lesions. The normal range of measurement values of each lobe of the liver shown by B-ultrasound is as follows: 1. Normal values of each lobe of the liver by B-ultrasound: The maximum oblique diameter of the right liver (the long axis of the right hepatic vein detected in the liver area between the right lower edge of the liver and the diaphragm): not more than 12.14cm. 2. The anterior-posterior diameter of the right liver lobe (the maximum vertical distance between the anterior and posterior edges of the liver measured on the intercostal section sonogram): no more than 8-10 cm. 3. Thickness and length of the left liver (sagittal section below the xiphoid process and in front of the abdominal aorta): thickness should not exceed 5-6cm, and length should not exceed 5-9cm. 4. The length and thickness of the caudate lobe of the liver shall not exceed 4.5 cm.

1. Cardiac ultrasound: You should take off your shoes and lie flat on the examination bed after resting for a while. Unbutton your shirt to expose your chest for the doctor to examine.

2. Digestive system ultrasound: When detecting deep organs that are easily disturbed by gas in the digestive tract, fasting examination or strict intestinal preparation is required. For example, if you are going to detect the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas in the abdominal cavity, it is best to abstain from milk, soy products, sugars, and other foods that are easily fermented and produce gas for 3 days before the examination. You should eat a light meal the night before the examination, and you should fast and avoid drinking water on the day of the examination. If the patient in the B-ultrasound room needs to undergo gastrointestinal and biliary X-ray imaging and gastroscopy at the same time, the ultrasound examination should be performed before the X-ray imaging, or 3 days after the above imaging.

3. Gynecological examination: When examining the uterus and its appendages, bladder, and other organs in the pelvic cavity, you need to retain bladder urine before the examination. You can drink about 1000 ml of boiled water 2 hours before the examination. Do not urinate 2 to 4 hours before the examination.

4. Pregnancy check-up: During pregnancy, you should be careful not to abuse B-ultrasound checks as they may cause fetal malformations. After collecting these fees, the hospital has the responsibility and obligation to tell pregnant women and their families what other defects the unborn baby may have, in addition to the deformities that the Ministry of Health requires to be detected. If the hospital fails to detect these defects or fails to fulfill its obligation to inform, it is derelict in its duty and should bear certain responsibilities. If the hospital tells the child that there are defects in the ears or other parts of the body only after the child is born after the B-ultrasound, it will be a great harm to the childbearing mother.

5. Eyes: During the examination, close the eye being examined, look straight at the ceiling with the non-examined eye, and slightly lift the lower jaw so that the pupil is in the center. Do not rub your eyes during the examination to prevent the oily liquid used for the examination from flowing into your eyes and damaging them.

The above is a detailed answer to what holding urine is for. In order to ensure the health of the body, regular check-ups are necessary. Various tumor diseases can only be detected through examinations. Regular physical examinations are a form of disease prevention. I still hope that friends need to go to the hospital for a full-body examination every three months.
