Brainstem hemorrhage is a very serious disease of the nervous system. When this disease occurs, it can cause sudden death in patients. Most patients with brainstem hemorrhage are middle-aged and elderly people, and the probability of developing the disease is very high among middle-aged and elderly people with hypertension. Brainstem hemorrhage usually occurs due to sudden stimulation. So what is the cause of sudden brainstem hemorrhage? Brainstem hemorrhage is an acute and severe neurological disease that often occurs in middle-aged and elderly people. In recent years, with the improvement of living standards and the increase in the incidence of hypertension, atherosclerosis and other diseases, the age of onset of brainstem hemorrhage has tended to be younger. There are many causes of brainstem hemorrhage, among which hypertension is the most common cause, which is caused by the rupture of tiny blood vessels in the skull due to increased blood pressure. In addition, cavernous hemangioma, stroke, etc. can also cause brainstem hemorrhage. If the amount of bleeding is small, drugs can be used to control blood pressure and reduce bleeding; if the amount of bleeding is large, surgical treatment should be performed in time, including decompressive craniectomy and minimally invasive drilling and catheter drainage. The so-called cerebral hemorrhage (including brainstem hemorrhage) refers to bleeding due to rupture of blood vessels in the brain parenchyma. A common cause is high blood pressure. Data show that more than 80% of patients with cerebral hemorrhage have a history of hypertension, so in the past it was often called hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Cerebral hemorrhage usually occurs suddenly and progresses rapidly. In severe cases, the condition worsens within minutes or hours. The patient experiences impaired consciousness, hemiplegia, vomiting, incontinence, etc., and may also have headaches and high blood pressure. The clinical manifestations of cerebral hemorrhage can be roughly divided into two types: one is whole brain symptoms, which are mostly caused by cerebral hemorrhage, edema and increased intracranial pressure. Symptoms include headache, vomiting, drowsiness, coma, etc. The second is focal symptoms, which are localized symptoms caused by blood breaking into the brain substance, such as central hemiplegia, facial paralysis, aphasia and hemisensory disorders. The age of onset of cerebral hemorrhage is mostly between 40 and 60 years old, and it occurs more frequently in males than in females. Any factors that can cause a sudden increase in blood pressure can become a direct cause of cerebral hemorrhage, such as strenuous activities, emotional excitement, and straining during bowel movements. Cerebral hemorrhage can often cause serious consequences such as secondary ventricular hemorrhage, brain herniation, high fever, etc. If the above situations occur, the mortality rate is very high. Therefore, the purpose of treating cerebral hemorrhage in clinical work is first to save the patient's life, and secondly to reduce the disability rate. Usually, it is important to lower your blood pressure, avoid mental excitement, and maintain a normal state of mind! |
