The harm of hair dyeing, beauty should be pursued in moderation

Female friends should dye their hair from time to time. Once they start, they can't stop. However, most people are not aware of the harm of hair dyeing. Frequent hair dyeing can damage hair quality, cause hair loss, and in severe cases can cause chronic poisoning.

1. Change hair quality

Dyeing your hair will affect the moisture balance in your hair and cause denaturation and reduction of a large amount of protein. This causes the hair to become brittle, the fibers to break, and it loses its natural softness, toughness and shine. The more times you dye your hair, the more damage it will cause. Therefore, you should not dye your hair more than twice a year.

2. Cause hair loss

Hair dye can stimulate inflammation of hair follicles. Frequent hair dyeing over time can cause hair follicles to shrink, causing hair to become thinner or even fall out. Adding some scalp protecting ingredients when dyeing your hair can reduce the damage of hair dye to your hair.

3. Skin allergies

Hair dyes can cause contact dermatitis and skin allergies. In mild cases, the scalp may become itchy, red, swollen, and exudate; in severe cases, papules and blisters may appear, and even serious consequences such as epidermal relaxation and necrosis may occur. Before dyeing your hair, you need to do a skin test on the hair dye. Drop the hair dye product on the inside of your wrist and wait for it to dry. If redness, swelling, or itching occurs, do not use it.

4. Carcinogenic

Hair dyes are synthesized chemically and contain harmful chemicals such as aniline and phenol that can cause cancer. If 1% of these chemicals is absorbed by the skin and accumulates in the body, they will combine with cells and damage deoxyribonucleic acid DNA, causing cell mutations and inducing skin cancer, bladder cancer, breast cancer, lymphoma, leukemia, etc. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not dye their hair.

5. Chronic poisoning

Some metal hair dyes contain lead acetate and silver nitrate. Once they enter the body, they will accumulate in the body for a long time and cause poisoning, causing dizziness, headache, fatigue, numbness of the limbs, etc. They may also enter the liver, kidneys and brain and destroy the functions of these organs.

6. How to reduce the harm: 1. Avoid repeated hair dyeing within three months, and do not dye your hair more than twice a year.

2. Avoid permanent hair dyes: If the color fades after 1-2 days after dyeing, it is semi-permanent, and if it fades after 2 weeks, it is permanent. The darker the color of the permanent hair dye, the more toxic substances it contains and the greater the harm to the human body.

3. The dyed area should be at least 1-2 cm away from the scalp.

4. After dyeing your hair, wash it thoroughly several times to remove all the hair dye. Do not scratch your scalp hard to avoid scratching and causing infection.

5. Try to choose hair dye products from regular and well-known manufacturers.

7. Tips: The less times you dye your hair, the better. Partial highlights are less harmful than full hair dyeing. People with scalp wounds, allergies, pregnant women, etc. should not dye their hair.
