How to detect nuclear radiation

How to detect nuclear radiation

Nowadays, people are greatly affected by nuclear radiation. If you want to detect whether there is nuclear radiation, you can use nuclear radiation online thickness gauge, nuclear radiation level meter, nuclear radiation flow meter, nuclear radiation flaw detector, etc. for detection.

Using Nuclear Radiation Online Thickness Gauge

The nuclear radiation online thickness gauge works on the principle that the degree of material absorption of radiation or the scattering of nuclear radiation is related to the thickness of the material.

Use nuclear radiation level meter

Different media have different absorption capabilities for gamma rays. Solids have the strongest absorption capacity, followed by liquids, and gases have the weakest. If the nuclear radiation source and the measured medium are constant, the height of the measured medium and the intensity of the rays after passing through the measured medium will be detected by the detector as the I value passing through the measured medium, and the H value will be displayed on the instrument.

Using Nuclear Radiation Flow Meter

When measuring gas flow, it is usually necessary to insert the sensitive element into the measured gas flow, which will cause pressure difference loss. If the gas is corrosive, it will damage the sensitive element. The use of nuclear radiation to measure flow can avoid the above problems.

Using nuclear radiation to detect flaws

The radioactive source is placed in the pipeline to be tested and moves synchronously with the detector along the parallel pipeline weld. When there is a problem with the quality of the pipeline weld, the gamma rays passing through the pipeline will produce a sudden change. The detector will amplify the received signal and then send it to the recorder for recording.
