How much do you know about the harm of dental calculus

When some yellow hard objects appear on our teeth and are firmly attached to the surface of the teeth and cannot be cleaned no matter how hard we brush, this is dental tartar. Almost everyone brushes their teeth now, but dental plaque is still inevitable. If not cleaned in time, it will pose a great threat to human oral health. Causes the following hazards:

1. Dental tartar can cause periodontitis. Dental tartar easily absorbs bacteria or toxins, and the local stimulation of the dental tartar itself causes the gums to become red, swollen, bleeding and inflamed. Due to the stimulation of subgingival tartar and the toxins produced by the attachments, ulcers occur on the inside of the gums, which are easy to heal, causing bleeding gums and aggravated periodontal infection, thus leading to the occurrence of dental tartar and periodontitis.

2. Tartar attached to teeth affects the appearance and the restoration effect of dentures. Removable dentures (also known as removable dentures) with tartar will fit tightly against the tooth surface, which can easily lead to the accumulation of food debris on the dentures and cause oral inflammation.

3. Tartar can easily cause bad breath. When tartar accumulates to a certain thickness, it presses on the gums, causing gum inflammation, periodontal disease, and bad breath.

4. Directly cause damage to your teeth. Tartar not only presses on your gums and hinders the normal flow of blood in the mouth, but also easily causes gum inflammation and even swelling and pain. Moreover, in the long run, tartar will accumulate more and more, forming a vicious cycle, destroying the tooth tissue bit by bit. In the end, you may end up having all your teeth pulled out one by one until one day you have no teeth left.

How to prevent it:

Since refined foods are sticky and high in sugar, they are easily deposited on the tooth surface. Therefore, you should eat less refined foods, or brush your teeth and rinse your mouth after eating. Especially eating delicate foods such as biscuits and cakes before going to bed can not only easily form dental plaque, but also cause tooth decay. Therefore, you must develop a good habit of brushing your teeth and maintaining oral hygiene.
