What happens if lumbar muscle strain is serious? Avoid complications

Long-term poor sitting posture and weight-bearing activities on the waist are all causes of lumbar muscle strain. 1. Complications

[Prescriptions] (1) Main prescription: Gan Jiang Ling Shu Tang (from Zhang Zhongjing’s Synopsis of the Golden Chamber) with added ingredients: dried ginger, roasted licorice root, white atractylodes, poria, eucommia bark, angelica dahurica, Cibotium bark, and Achyranthes bidentata. Decoction in water. (2) Prescription of Ershu Yiren Decoction: Atractylodes macrocephala, Coix seeds, and Atractylodes lancea. Decoction in water. (3) Prescription for Qiangyao Powder: Chuanwu, cinnamon bark, dried ginger, angelica dahurica, Arisaema consanguineum, red peony root, and camphor. Grind the above medicines into extremely fine powder, mix with boiling water into a paste, spread on gauze, apply to the painful area while hot, and change it every other day. (4) Duhuo Jishe Decoction (Sun Simiao's Qianjin Fang): Prescription: Duhuo, Fangfeng, Chuanxiong, Achyranthes bidentata, Viscum album, Gentiana macrophylla, Eucommia ulmoides, Angelica sinensis, Poria, Codonopsis pilosula, Rehmannia root, White peony root, Asarum, Licorice root, Cinnamon bark (fanned and washed). Take it in decoction, 1 dose per day, for 7 consecutive doses.

2. Damp-heat type

[Symptoms] Lumbar pain is accompanied by a feeling of heat, which worsens on hot or rainy days and is relieved by activity. The urine is red. The tongue coating is yellow and greasy, and the pulse is slippery and rapid.

【Treatment method】 Clear away heat and dampness, relax muscles and tendons and dredge meridians.

[Prescriptions] (1) Main prescription: Simiao Powder (Zhang Bingcheng's Chengfangbiandu) with additions and subtractions: Atractylodes lancea, Phellodendron amurense, Coix seeds, Honeysuckle vine, Polygonum multiflorum, Papaya, Stephania tetrandra, Pittosporum tobira bark, Achyranthes bidentata, and Licorice root. Decoction in water. (2) Kidney-nourishing and Blood-activating Decoction (Lai Tiansong et al., "Clinical Miraculous New Prescription") Prescription: Chinese Angelica, Red Peony Root, Papaya, Alisma Orientalis, Raw Rehmannia Glutinosa, Peach Kernel, Safflower, Chuanxiong, Cinnamon Twig, Beehive, Salvia Miltiorrhiza, Poria. Decoction in water.

3. Kidney deficiency type

[Symptoms] Pain and soreness in the waist, likes to be pressed and kneaded, weakness in the feet and knees, worse when tired, relieved by lying down, pale complexion, irritability and dry mouth, likes warmth and is afraid of cold, cold hands and feet, and often recurring. The pulse is deep, thin or fine and rapid.

【Treatment method】Tonify the kidney, replenish essence and benefit Qi.

【Prescription】

(1) The main prescription Zuogui Pills (Zhang Jiebin's Jingyue Complete Works) was modified. Prescription: Radix Rehmanniae, Dioscorea opposita, Fructus Lycii, Fructus Corni, Fructus Cuscutae, Fructus Poriae, Cortex Moutan, Herba Viscum Alismatis, Psoralea corylifolia (pre-boiled), Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, Cortex Moutan, Rhizoma Alismatis. Decoction in water. If the patient has kidney yang deficiency, remove the peony bark, Alisma orientalis, and tortoise shell, and add cooked aconite, Eucommia ulmoides, cinnamon bark, and epimedium.

(2) Kidney-warming and pain-relieving pill (Lai Tiansong et al., "Clinical Miraculous New Prescription") Prescription: Aconite, Epimedium, Morinda officinalis, Eucommia ulmoides, Viscum album, Astragalus, Rehmannia root, Angelica sinensis, Red peony root, White peony root, Polygonum multiflorum, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Millettia reticulata. Decoction in water.

(3) Wenshen Tongluo Decoction (Lai Tiansong et al., "Clinical Miraculous New Prescription") Prescription: cooked aconite root, cinnamon twig, epimedium, Morinda officinalis, white peony root, red peony root, salvia miltiorrhiza, Achyranthes bidentata, Chinese angelica, Chuanxiong, honeysuckle vine.

(4) Prescription for the Kidney-Nourishing and Waist-Strengthening Decoction: Rehmannia root, Cornus officinalis, Chinese yam, Eucommia ulmoides, Epimedium, Cibotium barometz, Red Peony Root, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Viscum album, Aconitum carmichaelii, Millettia reticulata.
