How to treat the precursors of myocardial infarction

If we want to effectively avoid and reduce the harm of myocardial infarction to our health, we need to pay attention and detect these diseases in a timely manner. Therefore, it is important to understand the symptoms and observe whether we are prone to symptoms of palpitations, shortness of breath, and sweating.

1. Acute myocardial infarction is more common in older people. It is a sudden and dangerous disease, and various precursor symptoms will appear before the onset of the disease.

2. Within 1-2 days before a myocardial infarction, the patient's angina attacks will increase in frequency compared to before, and taking nitroglycerin tablets will not be very effective. Patients feel severe and persistent pain under the sternum or in front of the heart, or stuffy and uncomfortable in the precordial area. The pain sometimes radiates to the arms or neck, accompanied by symptoms such as pale complexion, palpitations, shortness of breath and cold sweats. Some patients do not feel severe pain, or may experience sudden severe upper abdominal pain due to ischemia of the inferior myocardial wall, but the pain may be more severe, and resting and taking fast-acting vasodilators cannot relieve the pain.

3. If the above symptoms occur, the patient should immediately stop any strenuous physical activities, lie down to rest, observe the condition, calm down the excitement to reduce myocardial oxygen consumption. If the condition is found to be getting worse, call a doctor as soon as possible and provide immediate on-site first aid.

4. The manifestations of acute myocardial infarction are diverse. Some patients seek medical treatment with headache, toothache or abdominal pain, but there are no pathological changes in the corresponding organs. The existence of myocardial infarction cannot be ignored.
