What is the best way to treat cervical lymphadenopathy?

What is the best way to treat cervical lymphadenopathy?

The lymphatic system is one of the important immune systems in our body. If there is a problem with the lymph, it will directly reduce the body's immune ability. If cervical lymph tuberculosis occurs, it needs to be treated promptly. The treatment method depends on the condition of the disease.

Western medicine treatment

1. Systemic treatment

Pay proper attention to nutrition and rest. Take isoniazid orally for 1 to 2 years; if there are systemic symptoms of isoniazid toxicity or tuberculosis lesions elsewhere in the body, take sodium para-aminosalicylate or rifampicin or give an intramuscular injection of streptozotocin.

2. Local treatment

1. For a small number of localized, larger, and movable lymph nodes, surgical resection may be considered. Be careful not to damage the accessory nerve during surgery.

2. If a cold abscess has formed but has not yet ruptured, potential drainage of the pus can be performed. Insert the needle into the normal skin around the abscess and drain out as much pus as possible. Then inject 5% isoniazid solution or 10% streptomycin solution into the abscess cavity for flushing, and leave an appropriate amount in the abscess cavity, twice a week.

3. If cold abscesses rupture and form ulcers or sinus tracts, and if the infection of the hair is not obvious, curettage can be performed to carefully scrape away all the tuberculous diseased tissue. The wound was not sutured, and the dressing was changed with streptomycin solution.

4. For patients with cold abscesses and secondary purulent infection, incision and drainage should be performed first, and curettage can be performed if necessary after the infection is controlled.

TCM treatment methods

At present, the effect of traditional Chinese medicine in treating lymph tuberculosis in my country is more obvious. The theory of traditional Chinese medicine is mainly based on internal elimination, controlling the growth of lymphatic flora and fundamentally solving the problem of recurrence of lymph tuberculosis.

Effective folk remedies recorded in traditional Chinese medicine include: oral Qiancao Powder, Shengxuan Decoction, Qiluo Dan, etc. It can be used for external application to relieve pain, picking treatment, acupuncture therapy, etc. The name of Qiancao Powder was once recorded in the ancient Chinese pharmacopoeia "Huangdi Neijing" and the Qing Dynasty's "Treatise on Febrile Diseases". It is made from finely ground Chinese herbal medicines and has a great effect in treating scrofula. It is a traditional Chinese medicine powder prescription for treating lymph tuberculosis that has been circulated among the people for nearly a hundred years.
