The stomach is part of the digestive system of humans and vertebrates. It is an organ that stores and digests food and is one of the six internal organs. The stomach is mainly used to grind large pieces of food into small pieces and break down large molecules in food into smaller molecules for further absorption. That is, the stomach is mainly responsible for receiving and digesting food and water, and is known as the "sea of food and water". This shows that the stomach plays a very important role in the human body. This article briefly analyzes the stomach, including its location, structure, basic classification of stomach morphology, basic functions and working principles. The main diseases related to the stomach include gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric cancer, etc., with emphasis on explaining gastric cancer and the reasons why gastric cancer often recurs. Finally, some knowledge about stomach care is popularized so that readers can have a certain understanding of stomach protection and strengthen the protection of the stomach.

1. The location of the stomach:

The stomach is located below the xiphoid process of the sternum, above the navel, and slightly to the left. The stomach is located in the upper part of the abdominal cavity, connected to the esophagus above and the small intestine below. The gastric cavity, also known as the gastric cavity, is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower. The upper part of the stomach is the upper cavity, including the cardia; the lower part of the stomach is the lower cavity, including the pylorus; the part between the upper and lower cavity is the middle cavity. The cardia is connected to the esophagus above and the pylorus is connected to the small intestine below, and it is the passage for food to enter and exit the stomach. The main physiological function of the stomach is to receive and digest food and water, and its physiological characteristics are to promote downward movement and to like moisture and dislike dryness.

2. The structure of the stomach:

The stomach can be divided into four parts from top to bottom:

1) The cardia is a short section immediately adjacent to the cardia.

2) The fundus of the stomach is located on the left side of the cardia and is the bulging part above the cardia.

3) The body of the stomach is the largest part of the stomach cavity, located between the pyloric part and the cardia part.

4) The pyloric part, also known as the pyloric antrum or gastric antrum, is the part from the angular notch to the pylorus. Generally, chronic gastritis often occurs in the pyloric region or is most severe there, and Helicobacter pylori also often parasitizes in the pyloric region.

The upper opening of the stomach, the cardia, is called the "shangwanbu", the lower opening of the stomach, the pylorus, is called the "xiawanbu", and the part between the lower and upper pancreatic parts is called the "zhongwanbu"; the upper, middle and lower pancreatic parts are collectively called the "weiwanbu"; the upper, middle and lower pancreatic parts are similar to the upper, middle and lower pancreatic acupuncture points in the middle of the abdomen on the body surface.
