Some patients do not have any clinical symptoms, but the serological test is positive, which is called latent syphilis.

Syphilis is a chronic infectious disease that initially causes a systemic infection with a slow course. Syphilis can be divided into acquired syphilis (acquired) and congenital syphilis based on the source of infection. It can generally be divided into phases one, two and three. The first stage is the chancre stage, the second stage is the macular stage, collectively known as early syphilis, which is highly contagious, and the third stage is the late stage, which is less contagious.

The incubation period of syphilis: primary stage: 2 to 4 weeks, secondary stage: 8 to 10 weeks, tertiary stage: 2 to more than 2 years;

Syphilis can be detected during the incubation period using certain examination methods. There are several detection methods that patients can read for reference, so that they can check the condition early and get treatment early to avoid missing the best treatment time.

1. Dark field microscopy. Darkfield microscopy is a method of detecting Treponema pallidum.

2. Syphilis serological test.

3. Treponema pallidum IgM antibody test.

From this we can see that there are several methods for detecting syphilis. Since syphilis can be cured if treated during the incubation period, many patients with sexually transmitted diseases are checked and treated during the incubation period.
