How is hemangioma formed?

Understanding the causes of hemangioma formation will help us better prevent and treat it in our daily lives. It is recommended to reduce the impact and threat these problems pose to our health. For example, gene mutations or cell apoptosis are factors in the formation of hemangiomas.

1. Gene mutation

The cause of hemangioma is the presence of genes in chromosomes that inhibit blood vessel formation. The loss of gene heterozygosity leads to gene mutation, causing abnormal proliferation of vascular endothelial tissue, thereby forming a tumor.

2. Cell apoptosis

Due to the regulation of gene levels in the body, endothelial cell growth factor and other factors increase, and with the action of proliferation factors such as estrogen, some parts of the body are at a low level due to gene regulation, thereby aggravating the imbalance of proliferation and apoptosis and causing hemangioma to grow rapidly.

3. Endothelial progenitor cells

Some experts believe that the presence of endothelial progenitor cells will lead to rapid mid-stage tumor proliferation, and is therefore the main and fundamental cause of hemangioma.

This substance mainly originates from the endothelium of the placenta, enters into the fetal blood circulation through the chorionic villi, proliferates in the fetus, and then causes the disease.

4. Soluble cytokines

The cause of this hemangioma is that the local tissue secretes a soluble factor, which causes abnormal proliferation of the endothelium, thereby leading to changes in its own non-cellular phenotype. However, this factor has not yet been determined and further research is needed.
