Children have lower immunity than normal people. If you have a weak constitution, you will be invaded by bacteria and viruses and easily get measles. Measles is an infectious disease, which is mainly a respiratory disease. If the living environment is poor and you cannot breathe fresh air, there will be a lot of dust in the air. This is one of the main sources of infection for measles and must be treated through vaccination. Here is a detailed introduction. Measles is one of the most common acute respiratory infectious diseases in children. It is highly contagious and prone to epidemics in densely populated areas where vaccination is not universal, with an epidemic occurring every 2 to 3 years. Measles virus is a paramyxovirus that is transmitted through respiratory secretions and droplets. Clinically, the disease is characterized by fever, upper respiratory tract inflammation, conjunctivitis, red maculopapular rash on the skin, and measles mucosal spots on the buccal mucosa. After the rash subsides, pigmentation and bran-like desquamation remain. It is often complicated by respiratory diseases such as otitis media, laryngotracheitis, pneumonia, measles encephalitis, subacute sclerosing panencephalitis and other serious complications. There is currently no specific drug treatment. Since 1965, when my country began to universally vaccinate against measles with live attenuated vaccine, the incidence of measles has dropped significantly. Measles virus belongs to the Paramyxoviridae family and is a single-stranded negative-sense RNA virus. The diameter is about 100 to 250 nm, and there is a capsule outside the capsid. The capsule contains hemagglutinin (HL), which has a hemolytic effect. Measles virus has 6 structural proteins; during the prodromal and rash periods, measles virus can be isolated in nasal secretions, blood and urine. Measles virus has only one serotype and is antigenically stable. This virus has weak resistance and is sensitive to dryness, sunlight and high temperature. Ultraviolet rays, peracetic acid, formaldehyde, lactic acid and ether can kill the measles virus, but it can survive for a long time in low temperatures. According to the children's clinical manifestations: persistent fever, sore throat, photophobia, tearing, conjunctival redness and swelling, etc. Measles mucosal plaques are seen on the buccal mucosa of the oral cavity. After about 4 days of fever, red maculopapular rashes appear on the skin all over the body. The order of diagnosis is behind the ears, neck, then trunk, and finally limbs, hands and feet. After the rash subsides, the skin will desquamate and become pigmented. The patient had contact with measles 2 weeks ago. Easier to diagnose. Early detection of multinucleated giant cells in nasopharyngeal secretions and inclusion body cells in urine are helpful for early diagnosis. The diagnosis can be confirmed by testing serum measles antibodies on the first or second day after the rash appears, if positive. |
