Chronic pharyngitis is a common disease in daily life. It not only causes throat pain, but also makes the voice hoarse. Therefore, it is very important for patients with chronic pharyngitis to understand the symptoms of chronic pharyngitis and receive timely treatment. In fact, chronic pharyngitis is divided into three types. The symptoms of each type of chronic pharyngitis are different, and patients must receive targeted treatment. Long-term sensation of foreign body in the throat, burning sensation, dry itching, or mild cough and sore throat. The patient's swallowing function was normal, but he felt obvious discomfort when swallowing empty stomach. Overwork, talking too much, exposure to cold, excessive smoking and drinking, and mental stimulation can aggravate symptoms. 1. Clinically, it can be divided into three types. 1. Chronic simple pharyngitis The pharyngeal mucosa is congested to varying degrees, the submucosal tissue proliferates, and there are scattered enlarged and congested lymph nodes on the posterior pharyngeal wall. 2. Chronic hypertrophic pharyngitis The pharyngeal mucosa is obviously thickened, the uvula is enlarged and drooping, the lateral pharyngeal cords are hypertrophic and congested in strands, and the lymph nodules on the posterior pharyngeal wall are obviously proliferating and even fused into pieces. 3. Chronic atrophic pharyngitis It is often secondary to atrophic rhinitis, with thinning of the pharyngeal mucosa. The atrophy is most obvious in the posterior pharyngeal mucosa, which is dry, dull and wrinkled, often covered with a thin crust. This disease can also be seen after radiation therapy to the pharynx. 2. Physical signs: ① Chronic simple pharyngitis: diffuse congestion of the mucosa, dilation of small blood vessels, dark red color, with a small amount of viscous secretions. ②Chronic hypertrophic pharyngitis: mucosal thickening, diffuse congestion, dark red color. The lymphoid follicles on the posterior pharyngeal wall proliferate, become congested and swollen, and are distributed in dot-like patterns or fuse into masses. The lateral pharyngeal cords on both sides are also congested and thickened. ③ Atrophic or dry pharyngitis: The mucosa is dry, atrophic and thin, pale and shiny like wax paper, and has pus scabs attached. The sensation and reflexes of the pharynx are reduced, and there are also sticky secretions or purulent crusts in the nasopharynx. Sometimes the outline of the cervical vertebrae can be seen on the posterior pharyngeal wall. If the early atrophic changes are not obvious and only dryness is present, it is called dry pharyngitis. |
