How to treat herpes zoster

Shingles is a subtype of herpes and the most common type. Herpes treatment needs to be timely because early treatment can reduce the damage of the disease to the skin. There are many ways to treat herpes, and they are all very effective. Patients should not easily use unreliable folk remedies.

1. Take an appropriate amount of Ji Desheng Snake Medicine, add an appropriate amount of 75% alcohol and stir it into a paste, apply it to the affected area, 5 to 6 times a day; at the same time, take the medicine orally 3 times a day, 10 tablets each time. It can usually be cured within 5 days.

2. Xihuang Pills are made from Chinese medicinal herbs such as bezoar, musk, myrrh, and frankincense. Take 2 grams each time, twice a day. Generally, after 2 to 3 days of medication, the herpes erythema on the affected area becomes lighter, the skin color approaches normal, the blisters dry up and form scabs, and the pain disappears.

3. Apply an appropriate amount of Jingwanhong Burn Ointment to the affected area once a day; at the same time, take 200 mg of cimetidine orally, 3 times a day. The pain disappears within 24 hours after taking the medicine, the rash dries up in 2 to 3 days, and the scab falls off in 3 to 4 days.

4. Depending on the size of the affected area, mix 20 to 40 Liushen Pills with rice vinegar and apply evenly to the affected area, 3 times a day. Take orally 10 capsules 3 times a day. It can be cured after 4 to 5 days of continuous use.

Apply 5.1% indomethacin solution to the affected area 2-4 times a day, and the main symptoms of pain, erythema, and swelling will improve. The effective rate is 92%.

6. No matter whether the herpes is ulcerated or not, apply comfrey oil to the affected area with a sterile cotton swab, 3-5 times a day, and 7 days as a course of treatment. As a result, after one course of treatment, 20 cases, accounting for 76.9%, were cured (rash subsided, clinical signs disappeared, and there was no pain sequelae); 6 cases, accounting for 23.1%, were improved (rash subsided by about 80%, and pain was significantly relieved). The overall effective rate is 100%.

7. Polymyxin B 2 mg, intramuscular injection, once a day, for 5 consecutive days as a course of treatment.
